What do pets actually do in a duel?
Pets support your heroes rather than fighting on their own front line. Depending on the pet, they buff your team's attack or speed, shield your heroes, heal, or reveal the enemy's intentions. A well-chosen pet amplifies your whole team, which is why pairing the right pet with the right heroes is a core part of deckbuilding.
How do I hatch and evolve pets?
Pets hatch from crystal eggs earned through play, events and the Codex. Once hatched, you evolve a pet by gathering its evolution materials — also earned through normal play — and ascending it at the altar. Each evolution boosts its stats, upgrades its ability and unlocks striking new art.
Are pets free, or do I have to pay?
Pets are part of fair free-to-play. You hatch and evolve them through normal progression, events and rewards — no purchase required. As with heroes, spending can save time, but every pet and every evolution is reachable just by playing.
Can I use more than one pet at a time?
Your battle deck pairs heroes with a pet loadout, so part of the strategy is choosing which companion best complements your team for a given matchup. Experimenting with pet pairings is one of the most rewarding ways to climb, and it keeps even a familiar hero line-up feeling fresh.
