Fatebound for Beginners: Your First Week
Your first week in a collector RPG decides whether it clicks. This guide gives you a plan: who to build, what to evolve, and the habits that turn a pile of heroes into a team that wins.
Day 1: Finish the tutorial and summon
Play through the tutorial — it teaches summoning, pets, evolution and combat, and hands you free summons along the way. Spend your starter pulls and you're guaranteed at least one strong early hero to build around. Don't stress about pulling a specific unit yet; a solid core is plenty.
Day 2–3: Build a balanced team
Resist the urge to field five attackers. A team that mixes damage, durability and support survives longer and adapts better. A simple, reliable starting shape:
- Two damage dealers to close games.
- One durable frontliner to soak hits.
- One support hero to heal or buff.
- One pet that amplifies the plan (speed for aggression, shields for defence).
Day 4–5: Evolve your core, not everything
Materials are tight early, so concentrate them. Evolve the five units you actually play before you touch anyone else. A fully-evolved core team crushes a roster of half-evolved benchwarmers. You can always evolve alternatives later once your main team is strong.
The number one beginner mistake is spreading evolution materials across a dozen heroes. Focus wins.
Day 6: Match your pet to your plan
Pets are force multipliers. If your team wants to end duels fast, bring a pet that boosts attack or speed. If it wants to grind, bring one that shields or heals. Swapping pets for different matchups is one of the cheapest ways to climb — learn it early. The deck-building guide goes deeper.
Day 7: Enter the arena
Warm up in casual duels, then step into ranked. Before each duel, glance at the enemy team and plan around their biggest threat instead of autopiloting. Win or lose, you'll earn currency and materials — the ladder pays you to improve. Our arena guide takes it from here.
And keep playing the events
Limited-time events are the richest source of summons and evolution materials. Whatever else you do, clear the event each time one runs — that's where fast progress lives.
