Patch Notes 1.0 — The Open Beta Launch

The gates are open. Fatebound enters open beta today with version 1.0 — the foundation every future season will grow from. Here's everything that ships.

The launch roster

Fatebound launches with over a hundred heroes and pets combined, spanning five rarities from Common to Mythic. Headlining the roster are mythic and legendary heroes like the Fallen Angel and the azure reaper Kayn, alongside a full stable of hatchable pets.

Evolution is live

Every hero and pet can be evolved through multiple radiant forms. Each evolution raises stats, sharpens abilities and unlocks new art — and all evolution materials are earnable through play. New to it? Start with our evolution guide.

Ranked arena seasons begin

  • Ladder: eight tiers from Unbound to Fateweaver.
  • Season length: roughly two months, with a soft reset and fresh rewards each season.
  • Placement: new players complete placement duels to find their starting rank.

Fair free-to-play, from day one

Our core promise ships with the game: every hero, pet and evolution is earnable by playing, and the shop sells only cosmetics and convenience. Arena matchmaking is by skill and rank, never by spending.

Expect our first balance pass about three weeks into the beta, once the meta has settled enough to tell signal from noise.

Known issues

  • Some evolution animations may briefly pop in on lower-end mobile devices.
  • Spectator mode can desync on very slow connections; a reconnect fixes it.
  • We're monitoring arena queue times during peak launch hours.
